Experience the Arts on South Street

If you find yourself around the South Street corridor, take a moment (or twenty!) to check out the Arts on South. This creative program utilizes the unrented retail space around South Street for the display of local artists’ work. These retail spots are generously offered by local businesses and provide an excellent way to infuse local art into the various neighborhoods that border South Street – Queen Village, Bella Vista and Society Hill.

On the fourth Friday of every month, from 5 to 8pm, artists can showcase their creations at these spaces during public receptions and professional exhibitions, giving visitors a wonderful taste of that artistic talent that lies in Philadelphia.

Arts on South is a program brought to you by Philadelphia’s MagicGardens in collaboration with the South Street Headhouse District. Philadelphia’s MagicGardens is a non-profit organization devoted to improving the South Street district through the use of mosaic art. The organization includes a gallery space, mosaic garden and a maze of eclectic sculptures, located right on South Street.
