Jazz Festival Finds Home in Center City Philadelphia

The first and only annual jazz festival in Philadelphia, the Center City Jazz Festival features some of the most talented performers around, close to your Center City home next weekend.  Sixteen bands will be playing between 1 and 8 p.m. at this musical experience, combining hard-bop and groove to sultry tunes and even Latin jazz. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at Cafe Loftus (136 South 15th Street in Philadelphia) or online anytime. If you live in Center City, Philadelphia, and love music, you won’t want to miss out on this landmark event!

You can pick and choose from the scheduled performers to based on your personal style favorites. For an enjoyable day and night of music, head to Fergie’s Pub, located at 1214 Sansom Street, at 1 p.m., where you can enjoy Wade Dean Enspiration, Dahi Divine, Alex Caffy, and Joe Truglio. At Milkboy, located at 1100 Chestnut Street, beginning at 1:15 p.m., you’ll find Korey Riker, Ernest Stuart, Venissa Santi, and Jaleel Shaw and at Chris’ Jazz Cafe you’ll find Denise King, Maxfield Gast, George Burton, and Jessie Teich after 1:30 p.m. Time, on Sansom Street, will feature Three Blind Mice at 1:45 p.m., followed by Luke Carlos O’Reilly, The Sermon!, and Dave Mattock.
