StrEAT Food Festival and Restaurant Week April 13 – 26

Whether you’re from South Philadelphia or closer to Center City, we want to let you in on a special treat!  Manayunk is preparing to host the second annual StrEAT Food Festival and Restaurant Week!  Starting on April 13th, a variety of food purveyors and vendors will be offering their fare along Main Street, and then from April 14th – 26th, Manayunk restaurants will be hosting a Restaurant Week featuring wonderful deals on meals.

About the Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival

The Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival is held twice each year in the Spring and Fall.  Each season a new ingredient is highlighted.  For the upcoming festival, the strawberry takes center stage.  The festival will feature some of Philly’s best food trucks, and visitors will be treated to everything from artisanal ice creams to Asian fusion delicacies.  Stroll along Main Street and sample affordable bites from the dozens of vendors that line the thoroughfare on April 13th.  Each food truck will feature single servings that will range in price from $3 to $5.

In addition, there will be farmers markets and gourmet food vendors in two of the parking lots located along Main Street in Manayunk.  These lots will feature such things as homemade breads, exotic spices and oils, and local honey, all made by area vendors.  There will also be arts and crafts for sale in the market areas.  Food vendors will be stationed in Richard’s Apex, Levering Lot, Canal View Park, and Cotton Street.

Strawberries are the secret ingredient for this Spring’s festival, and visitors can take a restaurant tour that highlights this sweet berry.  Vendors will offer free seasonal treats, sidewalk sales and in-store promotions.  Enjoy live music in the dining areas while sampling all these delicious morsels.
