This Weekend, head to Manayunk, Old City, & Fishtown!

For culture, go to Manayunk!

If you’re native to Philadelphia, one of the most popular streets you will hear of is Main Street. Just 20 minutes away from Center City, Main Street proves to be one of the largest attractions in all of Manayunk. Famous for its food, night life, and diversity, it’s a part of the city that welcomes all types of folk.

This weekend, it opens its streets to one of the largest outdoor arts festivals in the DelawareValley, the Manayunk Arts Festival. Every year this two-day event brings thousands of people looking for art, culture, and fun. This will be the 23rd time the festival has graced Main Street, making it a true Manayunk tradition hard to follow.

On Saturday (from 11 a.m.-7 p.m) to Sunday (from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.) the

Historic Main Street will be closed off to traffic from Green Lane to Shurs Lane, which making the festival 10 blocks long, with over 300 artists and crafter from all over the nation!

For amazing food and dancing, head to Old City!

At night, head to Old City for the enchanting tastes and music of Cuba Libre Restaurant that offers a mixture of Caribbean paradise and fine dining. From the moment you walk in, you’ll be mesmerized by the décor, drawing on Island romance and beauty. Cuban charm reigns heavy in this fantastic restaurant, best known for its mojitos. And with the live performances of salsa in the later hours, you’ll be tempted to stay way past dessert.

For a more relaxed time (and beer), visit Fishtown!

Do you love arcades? What about bars? If you answered yes to either, you’ll be happy to stumble across Barcade. Exactly what it sounds like, Barcade combines the kid like love of arcades and the adult like infatuation with cocktails, craft beers, and other fine liquors. No where else, can you play Pac Man and enjoy cider beer!

Happy weekend everyone!
