Just Around the Culinary Corner

Philly always has something up its sleeve.  And these restaurants, set to open within the next couple of weeks, definitely agree.

Chris Scarduzio’s Unnamed Project

Chris Scarduzio, chef and proprietor of many highly esteemed and awarded restaurants in Philadelphia and Atlantic City, is opening up a casually elegant Italian Bistro in South Philly.  This culinary haven will also feature a liquor license, as well as outdoor seating.  Although he’s yet to release too many details on the unnamed project, it is due to open in the late fall at 1646 S. 12th Street.

Growlers

Jason Evenchik and Jay Willard, the masters behind Time and Dandelion, are working on a cross between fine dining and a pub, all with a living room like ambiance in the beautiful Bella Vista.  Pairing with Chef Jerry Donohue, they want to provide this neighborhood hangout with gourmet bar food, with a conscious mindfulness to all diet restrictions.  Located at the corner of 8th and Fitzwater Streets, this classy pub is set to open mid to late September.

Craft & Claw

Max Tucker and Nick Fabian are just weeks away from opening their doors to the hungry and thirsty public.  Offering a sea worth of crab, along with dozens of craft beers, this swanky spot will reside in one of the more historic and insatiable spots of the town, Old City.  It’s been said to have an opening date in later September.
